
Kari Cook is a seasoned social worker and clinical advocate with over 20 years of experience dedicated to child welfare and community mental health. As the Founder and President of the Glorietta Klarich Foundation, Kari integrates her lifelong passion for music with high-level clinical strategy to create healing environments for children and families.
Kari’s academic background includes a Master of Professional Studies with a concentration in Strategic Leadership and a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies in Psychology and Sociology. Beyond her formal degrees, she has completed postgraduate training in Trauma, PTSD, Suicide Intervention, Anxiety, and Substance Abuse; providing her with a sophisticated understanding of the intersecting challenges facing vulnerable populations today.
As a certified Kid’s Grief Specialist (CGCS-CA) and certified in Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), Kari utilizes innovative, play-based, and music-centric tools to support those navigating loss. Her expertise in trauma-informed care ensures that the foundation’s programs—are rooted in safety, resilience, and evidence-based practice.
